Try these tips for keeping cool on those late summer days still ahead of us:

A tiny drop of peppermint oil placed at the back of the neck on a hot summer day will cool the entire body!

Essential oils like sandalwood, rose and lavender all possess cooling properties. Add a few drops of any of these oils into a carrier oil like coconut or massage oil and enjoy the benefits of a cooling self-massage.

High grade essential oils can be purchased at NJ Center for Healthy Living!

Place a splash of organic pomegranate or cranberry juice in sparkling water with a squeeze of lime and a sprig of mint and refresh your taste buds while you hydrate and nourish the body.

Cooling summer vegetables include cucumbers, asparagus, and baby bok choy. Add them to your favorite summer salad and enjoy the benefits of their cooling properties.

Don’t forget that humans require Vitamin D. Enjoy the sun with proper timing and protection.
