What is the Alliance for Integrated Healthcare and how is it connected to the New Jersey Center for Healthy Living?
Alliance for Integrated Healthcare is the parent company and New Jersey Center for Healthy Living is a division of the Alliance. Business, including check payments and credit card transactions, waivers of liability, space rental agreements, and any other legal aspects are conducted with Alliance for Integrated Healthcare. NJ Center for Healthy Living is the name of the physical space of the health and wellness center located at 292 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, NJ.
How long has the New Jersey Center for Healthy Living been in business?
The Alliance for Integrated Healthcare has been a Limited Liability Company in the State of New Jersey for over eleven years. As of February 2015, the physical location of the New Jersey Center for Healthy Living is enjoying its tenth year at 292 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair.
What are the hours at the Center?
Generally the Center is open according to the following schedule:
Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday: according to class/workshop/event schedule
Hours with specific practitioners are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY in all cases.

What types of health practices are available at NJ Center for Healthy Living?
As an integrated healthcare center, we are proud to be home to a broad array of disease prevention and health and wellness practices including maternal fetal medicine, pre-conception counseling, functional medicine, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage and healing touch therapies, pain management, osteopathy, cranial sacral therapy, reiki, parent coaching, medicinal herbs, psychotherapy including addiction therapies, yoga classes and yoga therapy, Pilates and fitness therapies, nutrition counseling, rolfing, Tai’Chi Chih, and meditation and spiritual practices. Do all the practitioners who are promoted by the NJ Center for Health Living have practices located at the Center in Montclair?
It is impossible to house under one roof all of the wonderful healthy lifestyle and healing practices available through the acquaintances that have been established by the Alliance for Integrated Healthcare and NJ Center for Health Living. It is one of the key criteria for use of practice space at the NJ Center for Healthy Living that a practitioner present proof of whatever certifications and licenses are required for their practice in the State of New Jersey.

Insurance & Payment
Do the practitioners at New Jersey Center for Healthy Living take insurance?
This is THE most frequently asked question!
The medical doctors (M.D.’s) who have their practices at the New Jersey Center for Healthy Living usually have staff that will process paperwork with most major insurance companies.
If you determine that you have coverage for well care or specialties such as acupuncture and chiropractic, the doctors and practitioners involved in those practices will provide you with a bill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement directly to you. Please speak with the practitioner directly regarding specific insurance coverage questions.
What are the methods of payment accepted by the Center?
The Center accepts cash, checks with proof of ID, and all major credit cards for the services and educational programs that are offered. Payment to individual doctors and other practitioners who have their practices at the Center is usually done directly to the practitioner. Occasionally we assist the individual practitioners by processing credit card payments for them.

How do I register and pay for classes and workshops at The Institute at NJCHL?
The following methods for registration and payment are available:
- Cash: In person at our reception desk or directly to the Instructor.
- Check: In person or send a completed registration form with your check made payable to:

AFIH/NJCHL accepts all major credit cards.
Once you have chosen to attend a specific class/workshop/event, please register at your earliest convenience. There is limited enrollment for all classes/workshops/events.
What about class cancellations and refund policy?
The NJ Center for Healthy Living reserves the right to cancel any class, workshop or event that does not meet our enrollment criteria or that is scheduled during a time of inclement weather. Anyone that has registered for a class, workshop or event that is subsequently cancelled will be notified by phone and/or email at least 24 hours prior to the event if cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. During periods of inclement weather, the registrant should check the Center’s inclement weather phone message on the day of the class.
A full refund will be issued via the credit card originally charged, or by check in the case of a cash or check payment for special classes, workshops, and events held at the Center. For those clients using “class package” payment programs, for instance for yoga classes, there will be no refund but the class will not be deducted from the class package.
